After much deliberation we have finalised our itinerary for our road trip to outback Australia. We have limited time during the winter school holidays, so our plan is to travel approximately 3100 kilometres (1900 miles) over 12 days. We have a conventional two wheel drive vehicle, so have planned to mostly drive on sealed roads.
Below is the map of our planned route and the accompanying itinerary. The major destinations which we are keen to visit are White Cliffs, Broken Hill, Mildura and Mungo National Park.
